Corpus Christi Playroom

The Fletcher Players demonstrate how student theatre's supposed to be done –deadly serious, affected performances, and the haunting sense that at least one of the cast feels that reading lines from Ibsen in English rather than Norwegian, 'totally misses the axis on which the entire drama hinges'. But it's that seriousness that produces great actors, and makes Corpus Christi Playroom the breeding ground for the likes of Emma Thomson, Stephen Fry, Sam Mendes and Hugh Bonneville - no, never heard of him either, but they seem rather proud of him -.
