The Gandhi
Like the father of non-violent protest, The Ghandi is a largely peaceful establishment until pub closing time, at which stage everything gets a bit silly. This is not their fault blame - as ever - lies squarely with Mr. Regal, but is still off-putting for dates and parent visits. A valuable lesson, then, about where not to take dates and parents - unless, as in my case, your girlfriends tend to be vicious Northerners whose only problem with lary drunkards is which one to arm-wrestle first; and your parents enjoy any kind of distraction that means they don't have to talk to one another or their offspring -. Otherwise, The Ghandi is a professional outfit with some respectable food.
