The Orchard Tea Gardens
They won't let you bring your own butties in, but The Orchard is Cambridge's relic from the days of cream teas and croquet on the lawn - a gorgeous garden scattered with deckchairs and peacocks. Their leaflets will give you a potted history of who's who in Cambridge from Kim Philby, Monty Python, Nehru, and Stephen Hawking, to Jeffrey Archer - whose house is just around the corner, should you feel like pushing something through the letter box. -
