Burleigh Arms
Timbered 13th century building heaving with history, and some of the locals look like they were there supping mead when it first threw open its doors. Nothing's sacred though, so this is now owned by the Hogshead, who have typically placed some unsuitably colourful chairs inside. That said, it's still a relaxing venue in which to sink a few daytime ales with friends or a paper, if you can put up with the constant drone of American accents that is.
