Cafe Rouge
Very popular among local intellectuals and imitators. If you've not handed in your essay, be aware that you'll probably find your tutor in here banging on about Sartre's theory of self-awareness with the waiter. A French styled chain restaurant, which has remained popular across the country due to its reasonably priced Franglais cuisine. It all smacks of slight pretension, but fortunately there's no pomme frites on its shoulder. The Cambridge version is no different to any other, except that it's a lot darker, but it provides the perfect backdrop for the live jazz played the first Sunday of every month.
